Swimmers must come prepared with goggles, flippers and water bottles to every training session.

When children leave school early and go direct to the pool they are not under the control of the coach until designated start time.  They should be under the control of parents as per the Leisure Centre Management Rules.  On completion of club activities a parent must come in to collect the swimmer – not wait in the car park.

CODE OF CONDUCT AT TRAINING

Punctuality

Arrive early to be on pool deck in time to avoid unnecessary disruption to our coach and other swimmers. Seniors are expected to have warmed up and completed dry land stretches before the start of training.

Arrive Dry and Organised

Have goggles and cap on ready.

Your coach may wish to do some dry-land work before you start swimming.

Do not enter the water until instructed by your coach.

Present Yourself to your Coach

If you are early you may help your coach by offering to carry equipment from the storeroom.

Goggles and Flippers

Goggles are essential for training.  Make sure they are fitted well and adjusted properly before you get into the water.

You must have a pair of flippers as they are a useful training aid.

Water Bottle

It is important to drink water regularly during your training so that your body does not dehydrate.

Lane Ropes

Please stay off the lane ropes as it is a ruling from the management and we must abide by their rules.

Never Leave Without Reporting to Your Coach

While it is not common practice to leave training early if there is a valid reason to leave early please notify your coach at the beginning of the session to avoid disruption.

If you have any problems, please speak to your coach before or after training.  Try not to disrupt the session unless absolutely necessary.

Good communication with your coach is important.
